Our yard is constantly evolving

My husband Vinit and I built our house in 2009. Our garden is like everyone else’s is constantly evolving with seasons and the changing environment.  In the last three  years I have been working with Toni Moorehead. Our garden is combination of Toni’s design and my favorites.

Our front garden has lot of Japanese maple, abelias, sunshine  lingustrum, leopard plants, bear’s breaches, Hydrangea, various perennials, and more.  I have also collected a lot of varieties of Jasmine from different places of travel which has been added in the yard.

The backyard has a large fish pond with a plenty of cannas all around it. South side of the backyard has a large vegetable garden with a lot of fruit trees next to it.

There is a small kitchen herb garden close to the house. We have recently added a butterfly garden in the back.

I’d love to have you all wander through my yard.

A Delight to the senses

This garden is a delight to the senses, the front is more formal with a spray of colo and a mix of evegreens across  the front....as you walk around the garden path to the back, there is whimsy where you least expect it and a Kaledscope of color everywhere you look.  The pool is in the middle of the yard and is another surprise of color as you eye travels up the steps and across the garden to the other side of the indoor kitchen

....as you walk thru and around the side of the house  the stepping stones take you another journey of color and a sense of peace as you keep following the path and find yourself on the other side of the front of the house.   Enjoy.

Another Rebuilding Year

Gardens are always work in progress and mine certainly is. I’m replacing shrubs that didn’t survive the last 2 winters with more frost tolerant abelias and hollies. Azaleas, camellias and hydrangea look bad but should survive. In the garden, the frosts have not hurt the blackberries nor asparagus and I have tomatoes, zuchinni, squash, brocollini planted.  As far as annuals, have pentas, vinca, begonia, planted and lots of perrenials – lantana, candy tuft, creeping phlox, daisys, cone flower, plumago, phlox and of course lots and lots of iris!

Your ticket is good for all 3 of the gardens.  There is no agenda - just come and go as you please anytime between 11am and 3pm.
